Una Vuelta a Iberia, día 53

Desde que era joven, me han fascinado mapas. Los he pasado mil horas estudiando y me he preguntado mil veces cómo es el paisaje. Especialmente me interesan los extremos, los fines de tierra. Entonces la etapa de hoy era una maravilla. Mayormente la ruta pasó dentro de un parque natural y por paisajes preciosos. De nuevo disfruté de buen tiempo, totalmente despejado y con temperaturas hasta 20 grados. Pero los bosques al inicio de la ruta se hicieron cada vez más escasos hasta desaparecer al final. Finalmente hubo un momento cuando llegué a la cima de una colina y vi el mar por adelante. Había llegado al extremo. Seguí hasta Sagres y hasta la costa dramática y rocosa. Disfruté de una vuelta a la esquina ventosa de Portugal. Pero después hice falta cambiar de rumbo. Ahora voy pa casa.

Since I was young, I've been fascinated by maps. I've spent a thousand hours studying them and wondered a thousand times what the landscape is like. I'm especially interested in the extreme points, the ends of the land. Thus today's stage was a wonder. Mostly the route passed through a natural park and through beautiful landscapes. Again I enjoyed good weather, with totally clear skies and temperatures up to 20 degrees. But what were forests at the start gradually became more sparce until disappearing at the end. Finally there was a moment when I reached a hilltop and saw the sea straight ahead. I'd arrived at the extreme point. I continued to Sagres and to the dramatic and rocky coast. I enjoyed riding around the windy corner of Portugal. But afterwards it was necessary to change direction. Now I'm heading for home.
