Una Vuelta a Iberia, día 58

Sevilla a Córdoba, 142km (acumulados 4907km)

Ya estaba ansioso sobre el último tramo de mi vuelta. Ayer al final de mi día de descanso las piernas me molestaban más que lo normal. Entonces empecé el día de hoy muy inquieto. Deseaba llegar a Córdoba pero ya planeaba partir los 140km en dos etapas. Salí con el sol a las 8 y me sentía bien. Encontré una etapa llana con carreteras en muy buen estado. A pesar de una mañana muy nublada, poco a poco me encontraba "en la zona". Cuando cumplí la mitad de la distancia y me seguía sintiendo bien y las nubes se despejaron, me empecé a dar cuenta que llegara a Córdoba. La sorpresa fue que llegué a las 15. 140km en 7 horas, descansos incluidos. Encontré alojamiento, me duché, comí, y fui corriendo a dar una vuelta al centro. Y vaya tesoro es la Mezquita Catedral. La mezcla de arquitectura islámica y arquitectura cristiana es alucinante. Fue un momento destacado del viaje.

I was already anxious about the final leg of my trip. Yesterday at the end of my rest day my legs bothered me more than normal. So I started today very restless. I wanted to get to Cordoba but already I planned to split the 140km into two stages. I set off when the sun came out at 8:00 and felt good. I found a flat stage with roads in very good condition. Despite a very cloudy morning, little by little I found myself "in the zone." When I completed half the distance and still felt good and the clouds cleared, I began to realize that I could get to Cordoba. The surprise was that I arrived at 15:00. 140km in 7 hours, breaks included. I found accommodation, showered, ate, and rushed out for a walk around the center. And what a treasure is the Mosque Cathedral. The mixture of Islamic architecture and Christian architecture is astounding. It's a highlight of the trip.
