Una Vuelta a Iberia, día 13

Granada, 0km (acumulados 1125km)

Anoche quedé con un chaval que me dió un tour de Granada. Dimos una vuelta de tres horas al centro y al barrio árabe Albayzín y tomamos algunas copas con tapas gratis. Se lo agradezco muchísimo porque a veces he dado una vuelta a un nuevo sitio y he perdido todo lo interesante. En lugar, acabé yo totalmente alucinado. Hoy tuve un día de descanso en Granada y llovió. No me puedo denegar que me dejó un poco deprimido y que me impidió disfrutar plenamente lo que ofrece esta ciudad especial. Pero prefiero que llueva el día de descanso en lugar de perder dos días seguidos de ciclismo. Pasé mucho del día dando una vuelta yo sólo. Había muchos turistas y muchos acentos americanos. Por la tarde, visité a la Alhambra que simplemente es espectacular. Probablemente más que cualquier palacio o residencia nunca he visto, me gustaría vivir en ella. Terminé el día con muchas ganas de volver a montar la bici mañana.

Last night I met with a guy who gave me a tour of Granada. We walked for three hours around the center and the Arab neighborhood Albayzín and we had a few drinks with free tapas. I really appreciated it because sometimes I've walked around a new place and missed everything interesting. Instead, I ended up totally amazed. Today I had a rest day in Granada and it rained. I can't deny that it left me a bit depressed and that it prevented me from fully enjoying this special city. But I prefer it rains on my rest day instead of losing two straight days of cycling. I spent much of the day walking around alone. There were many tourists and many American accents. In the afternoon, I visited Alhambra which is simply spectacular. Probably more than any palace or residence that I've never seen, I could live in it. I finished the day very eager to get back on the bike tomorrow.
