Una Vuelta a Iberia, día 33

La percepción y la realidad no se reconcilian hasta que la bicicleta se monte. Me levanté animado y con el estómago menos mal. Aún así, no me pude empujar a salir del alojamiento y tampoco me pude empujar a pedalear. Me encontré cansado tal vez más en la cabeza que en las piernas. En los últimos días, aguanté mucho y seguí cumpliendo distancias sin compromiso. Pero hoy tenía más ganas de echarme en la cama y escuchar mi música. A partir de hoy, sigo el Camino del Norte, un Camino de Santiago. El paisaje es pintoresco, montañoso, arboleado, y muy verde. Me gusta experimentarlo esta una vez pero no es lo que me va. Pasé por San Sebastian y di una vuelta al centro. Pero lo visité hace años y lo encuentro demasiado chulo y clásico para mi gusto. Con el sol pasaba detrás de nubes, la temperatura fue alternando entre caliente y frío. Finalmente, decidí terminar la etapa temprano. Pero si supiera el desnivel acumulado que subí hoy, probablemente no pensaría que terminara la etapa temprano.

Perception and reality are not reconciled until the bike is mounted. I got up refreshed and with the stomach not so bad. Still, I couldn't push myself out the door and I couldn't push myself to pedal. I found myself tired, perhaps more in the head than in the legs. In recent days, I put up with lots of things and still completed distances without compromise. But today I felt more like lying in bed and listening to my music. As of today, I'm following the Camino del Norte, considered part of the Camino de Santiago. The landscape is picturesque, mountainous, treed, and very green. I'm glad to experience it this once but it's not what excites me. I passed through San Sebastian and went around the center. But I visited it years ago and find it too posh and classic for my taste. With the sun passing behind clouds, the temperature was alternating between hot and cold. Finally, I decided to finish the stage early. But if I knew the cumulative uphill that I climbed today, I probably wouldn't think that I finished the stage early.
