Una Vuelta a Iberia, día 49

Alenquer a Lisboa, 48km (acumulados 4144km)

Desde mi alojamiento a la cima de una colina con vistas hacia Lisboa, pude ver las nubes oscuras pero pensé en correr hacia Lisboa. Pero la lluvia empezó durante desayuno. Así que volví a mi habitación y escuché mientras el cielo partió y dejó caer un lago de agua. Esperando un respiro y esperando quedarme en al alojamiento hasta entonces, me vestí y prepararé las alforjas. Me divertía con juegos de cartas en mi ordenador mientras llovía a cánteros durante 3 horas. Al mediodía, la lluvia se hizo en llovizna y salí corriendo. Dentro de poco, estaba mojado y mis botas estaban llenas con agua. Pero no serviría nada pensar en parar así. Entonces con la ilusión de alojamiento seco y caliente en Lisboa, seguí pedaleando. Llegando a las afueras lejanas, la llovizna paró. Parecía pasar por afueras sin fin hasta que de repente me encontré en la plaza central, las nubes se habían despejado, y el sol había salido. Fue una etapa corta pero dura y me alegró sólo llegar finalmente. Mañana tomaré un día de descanso para disfrutar de Lisboa.

From my accommodation on a hilltop overlooking Lisbon, I could see the dark clouds but thought about making a run to Lisbon. But the rain started during breakfast. So I returned to my room and listened as the sky broke and dropped buckets water. Waiting for a break and hoping to stay in the accommodation until then, I got dressed and prepared the panniers. I entertained myself with card games on my computer while it was pouring rain for 3 hours. At noon, the rain became drizzle and I left running. Soon I was wet and my boots were full of water. But it was pointless to think about stopping like this. So with the illusion of dry and warm accommodation in Lisbon, I kept pedaling. Arriving in the far outskirts, the drizzle stopped. I seemed to pass through endless suburbs until suddenly I found myself in the central square, the clouds had cleared, and sun had come out. It was a short but hard stage and I was glad just to arrive finally. Tomorrow I'll take a rest day to enjoy Lisbon.
