Pombal a Alenquer, 114km (acumulados 4096km)

La etapa de hoy era una continuación de la etapa de ayer, con el objectivo de repetir la distancia de ayer y llegar a Lisboa. Pero sabía que el objectivo era muy ambicioso y, aún antes de montar la bici, tenía dudas de cumplirlo. Por desgracia, mis piernas no empezaron hoy con la misma frescura de ayer. Desde el inicio, se notó que me costaba más pedalear. Pero me quedaba todo el día y me enfoqué en lo positivo. Nunca llegué al estado de "auto-pilot" como ayer. Pero conseguí cumplir un cuarto y después otro cuarto. En este momento, me empecé a dar cuenta que me faltaba la fuerza para llegar a Lisboa. Decidí intentar llegar a Alenquer, que cumpliría otro cuarto y que tendría opciones para alojamiento. Los últimos kilómetros me costó cada vez más pero por poco conseguí llegar. Es una lástima pedalear 274km en 2 días y quedar 48km del destino. Pero simplemente no pude más. Y si no llueve de verdad durante todo el día de mañana, puedo llegar a Lisboa facilmente.

Today's stage was a continuation of yesterday's stage, with the aim of repeating yesterday's distance and arriving in Lisbon. But I knew that the goal was a very ambitious and, even before getting on the bike, I had doubts about reaching it. Unfortunately, my legs didn't start today with the same freshness as yesterday. From the beginning, I noticed that it was harder to pedal. But I had all day and I focused on the positive. I never achieved "auto-pilot" status like yesterday. But I finished one quarter and then another quarter. At this point, I began to realize that I lacked the strength to reach Lisbon. I decided to try to reach Alenquer, which would fulfill another quarter and would have options for lodging. The last kilometers got increasingly harder but barely I managed to arrive. It's a shame to cycle 274km in 2 days and still be 48km from the destination. But I just couldn't pedal anymore. And if it does't rain hard all day tomorrow, I can easily get to Lisbon.
