Una Vuelta a Iberia, día 35

Bilbao a Santander, 109km (acumulados 2971km)

109km siempre es una larga etapa. Con el cielo tapado y la carretera mojada y llovizna durante la mitad de la etapa, se hace aún mas larga. La cinta industrial de Bilbao extendió del oeste también. Pero con la frontera de Cantabria, el paisaje precioso volvió -- y por desgracia con ello vino la llovizna. A par de veces tuve que resguardarme en gasolineras por verdadera lluvia. Pero ya mojado y con pocas opciones de alojamiento y con menos de la mitad de la etapa por cumplir, me dediqué a llegar a Santander. Poco después, la llovizna terminó y aún pasé por un auto lavado para limpiar la bici. Llegué a Santander pero llegué agotado. A lo largo de la etapa, tuve algunos problemas de frenos. Entonces mañana sábado tendré que visitar un taller. Por casualidad, hay un taller dedicado a Specialized aquí en las afueras. Por lo tanto, mañana tendré un día de mantenimiento y descanso. Por la tarde, hay pronósticos de más lluvia....

109km always is a long stage. With the sky overcast and the roads wet and drizzle during half of the stage, it becomes even longer. The industrial belt of Bilbao extended west, too. But with the border of Cantabria, the beautiful landscape returned - and unfortunately with it came the drizzle. A couple of times I had to take shelter in gas stations because it was really raining. But wet and with few lodging options and with less than half of the stage to complete, I dedicated myself to get to Santander. Soon after, the rain stopped and I even went to a self car wash to clean the bike. I arrived in Santander but I arrived exhausted. Throughout the stage, I had some brake problems. Thus tomorrow Saturday I'll have to visit a repair shop. By chance, there is a dedicated Specialized repair shop here in the suburbs. So, tomorrow I will take a day for maintenance and rest. In the afternoon, there are forecasts of more rain....
