Una Vuelta a Iberia, día 44

Vigo a Viana do Castelo, 81km (acumulados 3752km)

En retrospectiva, probablemente debería haber tomado un día de descanso en Vigo. Con una mezcla equilibrada de nubes muy oscuras y manchas de cielo claro, no podía decidir durante casi una hora. Al inicio, no tenía ganas de montar la bici y veía las nubes oscuras. Luego tomé un café y veía las manchas de cielo claro. Al final, no quise pasar ni un domingo en Vigo ni otro día en mi alojamiento. Con un sentido de aventura, me fui a Portugal. Era obvio desde el inicio que no tenía muchas ganas de pedalear. Aunque el cielo estaba nublado y la lluvia me pilló una vez, por lo menos disfruté de la belleza de la costa rocosa. Finalmente llegué al río Miño, donde hay un transbordador para cruzar la frontera una vez a la hora. En Portugal, las nubes se hicieron un poco más oscuras y la lluvia me pilló de nuevo. Resulta que aún no he podido ver mucha diferencia entre los dos países. Me encuentro entendiendo menos de la mitad de lo que oigo en portugués. Sigo hablando en español y por lo general obtengo respuestas en Inglés roto. Va a ser interesante.

In hindsight, I probably should have taken a rest day in Vigo. With a balanced mix of very dark clouds and spots of clear sky, I couldn't decide for almost an hour. At first, I didn't feel like getting on the bike and saw the dark clouds. Then I had a coffee and saw the spots of clear sky. In the end, I just didn't want to spend a Sunday in Vigo or another day in my accommodation. With a sense of aventure, I set off for Portugal. It was obvious from the start that I wasn't really into it. Even though the sky was overcast and the rain got me once, at least I enjoyed the beauty of the rocky coastline. Finally I got to the River Miño, where there is a ferry to cross the border once an hour In Portugal, the clouds became a bit darker and the rain got me again. As a result, I haven't yet been able to see much of a difference between the two countries. I find myself understanding less than half of what I hear in Portuguese. I continue to speak in Spanish and usually get responses in broken English. This is going to be interesting.
